  2. For anyone researching Japanese vehicle imports, choosing the right auction platform can be just as important as selecting the right car. Japan has several well-established auction networks, but many first-time buyers find it difficult to understand which ones consistently deliver reliable vehicle information and fair bidding opportunities. Some experienced importers suggest looking beyond the number of vehicles available and paying closer attention to how transparent the auction process is. Even companies such as Nobuko Japan rely on established auction networks because the quality of the inspection reports and auction standards plays a major role in buyer confidence. Some factors worth discussing include: The accuracy and consistency of auction inspection sheets. The reputation of different auction groups for grading vehicles. The variety of vehicles available across different auction platforms. How frequently rare or high-demand models appear. Whether bidding procedures and vehicle histories are clearly documented. The overall experience buyers have had with vehicle condition compared to auction descriptions. Many buyers seem to agree that no single auction platform is perfect for every situation. Some are known for offering a wider selection, while others have built a stronger reputation for detailed inspections or better-maintained vehicles. The best choice often depends on whether the priority is price, vehicle condition, or access to specific makes and models. It would be interesting to hear opinions from members who have followed Japanese auctions regularly or purchased imported vehicles through them. Which Japanese auction platform has provided the most reliable results in terms of accurate grading, vehicle quality, and overall buying experience, and why?

  17. I have mine booked in for mot on Sunday. Its a motorway journey. I shall report back.
  18. So I made the decision a couple of years ago when my old Ford V6 wasnt performing the way I wanted to swap in a complete 350z drivetrain into my Sierra track car. Swap is done now. Was allot of work to make everything fit. Had to make all the stuff myself so took a good 3 years. But basicly diy longtube headers/complete exhaust, upper part of plenum+intake pipe, rear sump oilpan, engineloom since i went standalone ecu. Fuelrails, coolingsystem etc. Basicly heads and engine block are the only thing I didnt touch. Enlarge gearbox tunnel to make the cd009 fit. Going to dyno it 5-6 september. Clip of it from the other day.
  19. Is there much drone with a miltek on the motorway, around 2-2.5k My Cobra has been on a while now and getting close to decibel limit at certain tracks, reads upto 106db whilst it sounds amazing coupled with the rest of my setup, the drone around 2-2.5k can be ear bleeding at times on long journeys. I either have to drop a gear to 5th so 70mph is around 3k or go 80mph+ in 6th, neither is ideal. I dont think swapping the mid pipe back will lose too many horses if any but if the sound and drone decrease should be worth it,
