  2. If the steering still feels direct and not vague and all a bit meh, just heavy... after checking tyre pressures I'd tend to look at the pump personally Is the pump noisy or is the fluid a bit brown?
  3. Cheaper to import from Japan. Lower customs.
  4. I should have racks and pumps in stock for your GT4 Have you checked your tyre pressures?
  5. This is the patch lead I got: https://incartec.co.uk/product/PIONEER-patch-lead-for-29-series-SWC-29-007 The USB lead comes out of the back of the head unit, I've run it along the passenger underside of the centre console into the armrest cubby, there I have one of those OTG usb adapter things with a micro sd card in with all my music on. I do also have a wireless android auto adapter that can plug into the same place.
  6. By thick I'm assuming he means the width. Common with Brembo alloy calipers that use stainless steel sliders on the inside that the pads move along. From experience, corrosion between the 2 metals form under the sliders which slightly lifts them off the surface, this results in it 'not seeming' like the pads will fit or, in your case, too wide (if that is the case). It's a tedious job splitting the calipers, removing the sliders to remove as much corrosion as possible & building them back up, I've had to do that in the past. At one point you were able to buy new sliders on ebay for the Brembo calipers. Your issue may be completely different.
  7. Sounds like the power steering pump to me mate
  8. My 2005 GT4 seems to have developed heavy steering without me really noticing anything unusual. It's not a daily driver, it's an occasional driver so maybe I didn't notice, but it's gone from the usual fairly light power steering to noticeably heavy steering. I've checked the power steering fluid reservoir and that doesn't seem to have moved, it's still on the middle marker so it's neither high nor low. I did wonder if the power steering pump may be the culprit, but my local garage has said they don't think so. They had a quick look at the car and suggested it's probably the steering rack that needs replacing. I'm not sure how you go about determining which part is the culprit? If it is the steering rack, is anyone selling good condition used ones? Cheers Paul
  9. Best to source and fit the correct pads. As a last resort, removing pad material must be done on a lathe to achieve a uniformed finish

  12. Brought some Brembo pads via Horsham. They just pass the order onto EBC so the order come from EBC. TBH can't remember if I actually checked the boxes myself (but think i did). Gave them to my garage to fit as part of a service. Owner just called and said the rears have gone on fine and the fronts fitted fine but they look to be too thick. They instantly lock the front wheels. Owner said he'd take a look tomorrow morning as he's just going off what his mechanic said, but his mech said front and rears were the same part. Would the rears even fit into the front callipers? I'll have a better idea whether the mechanics made a mistake tomorrow once the owners had a look. The pictures of fronts and rears look identical on Horshams website. https://h-dev.co.uk/product/nissan-350z-3-5-brembo-2003-rear-ebc-redstuff-brake-pads-dp31537c https://h-dev.co.uk/product/142 Owner did say if its just a bit too think he can sand a few mm off them. Is that a good idea? This was my receipt from h-dev. annoyingly no actual part number.

  15. Removed from my car in late 2021, so four years of use covering approximately 18,000 miles. £400.00 Collection preferred from postcode RH6 near Gatwick, due to postage cost being significant.
  16. In need of refurbishment following accident damage, comprising some minor scuffing and damage to a small area of the rim, equivalent to kerbing. £250.00 - including a set of four red RAYS valve caps! Collection preferred from postcode RH6 near Gatwick, as postage costs will be significant.
  17. As new and in perfect condition, in original box. Collection from postcode RH6 near Gatwick preferred as they are heavy, which will obviously affect the price with postage added. £20.00
  18. speak to customICE in Chingford - he bypassed my 350s amp for £40 iirc
  19. Hey folks, I hope one of you wonderful and very knowledgable people can help please. A couple of years ago I had a new Pioneer DAB stereo unit fitted to my Z. All was well until just before the warranty ran out when the unit failed. I took it back to the fitters (A big national chain) and they replaced it with a new unit. However, I wasn't too happy with the fitting at the time as I had to go back and get them to redo it as half my dash was out! Long story short, that was in Feb 2025. Roll forward to a couple of weeks ago and the sound just cut out completely, no warning, no crackles, no fading, nothing. I went back today to get it looked at and they said the head unit was fine (duh!) but the amp had "gone". I've called several places who said it would cost £k's to get it fixed as it would have to be removed or bypassed (?), that it was a very difficult job to repair the existing amp if not impossible, and that fitting a new system might not even be possible. I found an amp on eBay from a 350Z (didn't say what year) but am now advised that even that might not work because of it might have different software to my one. Can anyone advise me of what I can do please. I'm not techie and the audio places around near me only seem interested in trying to sell me a new system.
  20. I've asked CoPilot and its suggested Nifty city should have an early model AC adaptor Copilot The Nifty City Tesla-style screen for the 2009–2021 Nissan 370Z does include all necessary wiring harnesses and mounting brackets for installation. However, for 2009–2011 models, a specific HVAC adapter is required to ensure the air conditioning system functions correctly. Unfortunately, the product page does not list a specific part number for the HVAC adapter. Instead, it mentions that the system is designed to be plug-and-play but may require minimal modifications for early models like yours. 🔧 What You Can Do: Contact SoCal Z or Nifty City directly via their product support page to request the HVAC adapter for 2009–2011 370Z models. Ask specifically for the AC control interface or adapter harness for early models. If you purchased the unit from them, they may provide the adapter at no extra cost or guide you to the correct part. Would you like help drafting a message to their support team or finding a reseller that includes the adapter?
  21. We have had a club stand on a few occasions which I organised. Great event fyi.
  22. Mine is a 2015 so didn't have a problem. I'll have a look at the wiring diagrams and see if I spot the differences on an 09.
  23. Yep, original AC control box is still plugged into the OEM harness. It's the only unit retained from the stock equipment. The wire cutting and joining is only applicable to certain 09 models apparently.
  24. I didn't have to cut any harness. There is a white plastic box attached to the bottom of the head unit which is the AC control. Have you reused this? You want to.
  25. Hi Keith, Issue I have is the AC controls don't work properly. Now I know there is an alleged fix that involves cutting the supplied main harness and connecting white and green wires but the problem I'm having is that doesn't match any loom that I've been supplied. Thanks
  26. I fitted the one from AuCar a few months ago, they are all the same screen I think. This one. What problem have you got?
