Okay so I live near Gatwick so it got cold-ish during winter and we had the occasional snow shower. At times it was a few inches deep but obviously not as much as up north. I live on a hill where we get more snow settling than surrounding areas and most people (likely due to them being scared), don't attempt to go down or up the hill when it's snowed. I used to run MPSS (a predecessor to the current Michelin Pilot sport 4s and 5) all year round and they could handle everything well. However when I decided to get a second set of alloys (£100 for the standard non rays) to run Michelin pilot alpin tyres in the winter (when temps drop below 7c) the performance was transformed during the winter and when it snowed. The grip was outstanding in cold dry a d cold wet weather. It felt like I was driving in the MPSS in the dry. This one time at band camp... When it really snowed down here and a few inches settled, I was easily able to overtake Range Rovers having issues in their summer tyres. If performance all the time is for you, get 2 sets. One summer and one winter. Definitely worth it. If not then I'd say just get a good set of high performance summer tyres like the Michelin pilot sports. Most people aren't lunatics like me and wanting to push their car all year round especially when it's pouring down with heavy rain.

Not trying to be a dick here, but when someone is asking for help on tyres to be used all year round then recommending something you’ve never tried in the rain (why???) isn’t exactly helping him. What did you have on before the SC7? Also they won’t have mental levels of grip, as that’s not what they’re designed for. I don’t doubt they have good levels, but the phrase mental might be over selling them a tad: they’re not a semi-slick which I would happily class as mental on the roads 🤣

Pirelli have long traded off their association with F1 rather than, y’know, actually making tyres that are any good. Until you hit the semi slick range, you’ll find like for like that Pirelli lack grip in dry and certainly wet conditions, and importantly feel as well. I’ve yet to meet one I would actually spend money on. 4S are sportier than 5, but a quick google will give you more detail on that. As I’ve yet to try the SC7 I can’t really comment on them over the 4S.

As far as I’m aware, Cougar Store hasn’t been active for a while now, so you may struggle to get hold of them through the old usual channels. If you’re after parts or work doing, it’s worth posting up what you need as someone here will likely point you toward a current trader or recommend an alternative.

Continental ContactSport 7s. Fitted them in the summer, incredible in the dry, mental levels of grip. No idea about the wet, the car doesn't leave the garage if its raining.

PS4S buddy

Whats wrong with Pirelli? And what are the differences between PS4S and PS5 and why would you recommend the 4s over 5? Would the SC7 be better than the PS4S too?

As above, can't go wrong with some Pilot Sport 5's. They're very good.

Please don’t buy anything with Pirelli on, for a start. If you can get Michelin PS4S in the right sizes, do that. If not, then PS5 will do you nicely: I ran them for two years on my daily, and they handled baking days as well as torrential rain and the snow happily. Currently trying some Conti SC5s, and they’re okay but don’t excel in anything like I felt the PS5s did. I wanted the SC7, which would be worth a shout as well, but couldn’t get them in time for an MOT.

As per the title, I'm looking for the sidelight bulb holder as one of mine is damaged and not making the proper connection.

I recently bought my 350Z and have found that some tyres are showing some age. Figured I should replace all the tyres just to be safe, since I have the money for it. I am looking for something that can handle all year round uk weather. This is my only car, and unfortunately I am DAILYing it. I want to maximise performance in the summer but not die in the winter/rain. I might take it on the track, and if the tyres can handle it, then maybe I don't need to buy a new set just for track. I have seen some recommendations for the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3, but I am sceptical about the price of it on some websites. Can anyone recommend some tyres that would fit my needs, please? Thank you in advance. My size is Fronts: 225/45/R18 and Rears: 245/45/R18 Also, my first post, I don't know if I posted in the right category sorry.

Doesn't appear to impact Zed's, no DPF, no GPF (as it's port injection) no EGR, Adblue, and if you delete the cat you wouldn't get through an MOT legally anyway 90s JDM fine But if your toy of choice is a modified BMW M2/3/4, Audi RS2/3/4 etc though, with GPF delete and you like a pop and bang...

Hi Paul, if you’ve got a set available it’d be worth dropping Sarah a few details — condition, colour, and whether they’re definitely UK RHD fitment. Sarah, just a quick reminder to check the hinge/spring action and the fixing points before buying, as the outer handles can get a bit tired with age.

No, the misfire stayed (again only when hot) but the car refuses to give me a misfire code with any code reader so I cant see if the misfire has moved cylinder

These are prone for coming loose, so firstly check that the 6 fixing bolts are tight. (manifold to head) Unsure of specialists in west midlands, however any decent indy garage who know there way around a 350Z should manage this for you. What TT set up are you running?

So Cranfield would be road testing the new Z if HQ can get it approved. I think 4-5 years into the cycle is a bit late and they wont sell. Better of only bringing the RZ34 Nismo and Special editions (Heritage) both in Auto and Manual. Dont bother with the base or even performance. Cap it at £50,000. Moving onto a new model by 2029 and/or new platform. But I doubt theres any money for that after this heavy facelift and 2027 manual Nismo introduction. Many Chinese companies have new models every 6 months with huge investment.....maybe Nissan can sell some stake for better management since they got denied for partnership by Honda and co. Chinese investment focuses on electric arm and hybrid tech and stops overreliance on Renault who no longer need Nissan and are already a superior run company. They can contribute to development of hybrid engines for next generation. I reckon the emissions and green agenda will balance itself out if the politics go where it looks to be going. Many manufacturers are giving up the pure EV hype. With Chinese investment Nissan could get a hybrid 3.0T or 3.5T hybrid 450-500hp newly designed Engine into a new platform and refreshed body design. Maybe also consider all wheel drive additional drivetrain will pass Euro 7 emissions if done right. Well thats a huge investment for a serious company. I dont think Nissan are there. A "bored art student" has rendered this an homage to the original Fairlady Z
