zebedy Posted May 10, 2015 Share Posted May 10, 2015 As it sais really. Mrs zebb has got one of those x5 steam mops for doing our laminate floors and its pretty good at what it does. So this thing comes with a hand held attachment to do other nooks and crannies and such. So was thinking...would it be safe to use on the engine bay prior to starting a tart up. Stutopia Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 A little carb cleaner and an old rag/microfibre + a bucketload of elbow grease. Small paint/pastry brush is also handy (clean obviously! ). RobPhoboS Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Just spray some Bilthamber Surfex HD on it to degrease it, pressure wash it down (dont go mad, just to quickly get rid of the SHD), fire it up, let it dry out. Once dry, spray Aerospace 303 over all of the engine bits, leave it for a couple of hours (dont rub it in), after that use a MF cloth and bingo - nice and clean.
