I remember my dad taking me to see these - can't for the life of me think where it was, I still remember he told me about the twin props on the sub hunter plane and how it allowed them to fly slower.

 

Mixed emotions I can tell you.

At Woodford Aerodrome, just down the road from me. They are hoping to open a museum for the Vulcan in one of the old buildings.

Cool. My Dad was flight crew in the Victor, based at RAF Marham in Norfolk in the 70s. He once snuck me into the cockpit for a look when we lived on the base. Awesome aircraft. I can still remember the incredible roar when one took off during an open day at the base.
