Jo bought the first one on her kindle, so naturally I flicked through it too: We both agreed it's utter garbage. It's very poorly written, falls into the usual porn trap of trying to make genitals sound sexy without resorting to cuss words ('member'? Really?!), and the story just doesn't hold attention at all. She didn't bother with the sequels as it's unlikely they magically improved. 1 Quote

rabbitstew Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 My wife read them and thought they were brilliant, so i had to read the 1st one to see what it was all about. I found it really hard going and probably one of the most disturbing books ive read. Basically the guy grooms the young inexperienced girl and abuses her. He tries to control every element of her life, from what she wears, what workouts she has to do to stay in the shape he wants her to be, which of her friends she can & cant see and even dictates what contraception she must take. She spends most of the book crying unable to talk to anyone as shes signed an NDA. When she tries on several occasions to leave, he stalks her and turns up wherever she is. He even buys the company she works for to keep an eye on her. The BDSM stuff is irrelevant really and very mild, the psychological brainwashing and stuff he makes & tries to make her do is the main thing. At least she didnt agree to the anal fisting he tried several times to get her to agree to. Im at a loss why any woman would like the idea of a bloke like that. 2 Quote

I remember when the book came out and a few normal girls (loosely used) i knew had read it and found it quite erotic, without being condescending, they kind of missed the point as it was exactly as your describe. They all liked the idea of a light bit of s&m, but they kind of skipped over the bit about being stalked, dominated and then having a master. However, there are obviously women that like that and guys also to be fair, its probably down to some deep rooted issue from their childhood.
