zakeri88 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Hey guys One thing I haven't been particularly impressed with since getting my car is the brakes. Got a 58 plate HR Z. Its got the brembos but in relation to the speed and acceleration of the car, I don't think they're that great. I was thinking about taking off the stock pads and swapping them for the DS2500s. Will this change alone make a significant improvement over the stocks? Thanks Quote
Jp606 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Disks , pads and braided hoses with a high quality fluid and they'll perform brilliantly, I love my setup. Quote
GMballistic Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 ^^ What he said. I run EBC turbo groove discs, Goodridge braided brake lines, Ferodo DS2500 pads & Motul RBF600 brake fluid ~ no problems stopping here so far even under heavy sustained use. Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 The DS2500 will be an improvement over stock, will they be fitted to standard discs... We have the pads available if you decide to opt for them... 1 Quote
leet8845 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I have dimpled and grooved discs with yellow stuff pads on my brembos. Standard hoses. They were recently fitted before I brought the car. The brakes are great, stops at any speed in no time and feels solid. Big improvement over the RX8 brakes and they weren't bad. Quote
4RE Leather Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I got my Discs from Alex and can't remember the name plus Ferodo DS2500. They made a noticeable improvement. However now I have a Supercharger I need a Big Brake Set. Still waiting for my HEL lines to be fitted Keyser/Buster. I have experimented with other pads like Pagid and Yellow Stuff but soon put the DS2500's back in. Find out from other people who have tried different pads and see what they say. 1 Quote
