KW V3 coilovers

GT4 Zed

Recommended Posts

I finally got these puppies back from KW Germany for a full overhaul as i have a slight leaking damper.(my fault for using an air gun on the top nut when I originally installed it. Thank goodness I paused to read the manual and avoided air gunning the rest.) I sent all 4 for overhaul so each axle is matched. Cost me an arm but at least its like having brand new coilovers. I planned to keep it but decided now to go all out for competition spec coilovers so this is up for sale.

The KW are the best street/track coilovers you can buy. Its 3 way adjustable and rust proof. Still looks like new.

As per the pic I have also re-powdercoated the springs and I will also throw in all the OEM top mounts and rear rubber spacer to use with the kit. Saves you trying to pry this off your OEM dampers.

Also included (not pictured) are the rear dampers and c spanner and an extra rear spring perch collar and installation.

The last set sold here for £1200 (Sold by octet)without the extra bits. I'm asking for £1100 ono. For a small fee I can fit this for you and set it up. These don't come in frequently so save yourself 1/3 of new price.

I'll also have my Tein Monoflex up for sale with brand new EDFC. Enquiries welcome. Brand new they are £1400 and EDFC £300 ex VAT. I would take offers for both. I can also install for a small fee :)

Are the Teins height adjustable? What's the range if so and if not- what's the drop? Thanks.

Off course mate! Its a proper inverted monotube design. I don't have the range off head. That you can find on Tein website👀

Safe to say my car was pretty low initially but I've raised it up as I used to scrape every half decent bump or ramp.

I don't have the range.

Tbh if you are after drop than performance you may as well get some cheap stuff.

Thanks. I'm actually after these as I love the damping control and tein in general. My issue is that I an only just get the car in at work- Any lower and I wouldn't get in the car park....and most decent set ups drop by 30mm etc. I will check that they will ride at standard height- if so I'll have them...

Surprised these are still available, best coilovers ever!

Tell me about it! I've got interests but no concrete offers. Just the usual dreamers.

Maybe I will take the rears out of the box and do a mega shiny photo of everything👀

Bumpity bumpity :bounce:

Vlad man it would have to be a lot of Mars bars as the HSDs is a rust magnet and very underdamped with primitive valving compared to the KW so no thanks😜😜😜

Congratulations on finalising your scðŸ‘

KW SOLD🎉

  • 1 month later...

Is the EDFC hard to install? Am I right in thinking that it is only for damping etc, ride height is adjusted manually? I would like to replace my coilovers soon and these are top notch!! :cloud9:

Chris you're best off sending GT4 Zed a PM as he's not on here all that often anymore. ;)

My mates got the EDFC in his Impreza which he installed himself but obviously all depends on how confident you feel handling wiring etc. Think it's only really the power cable you have to sort out and yes it only does the damping force ~ ride height is adjusted manually.

Wouldn't say it was a specialist job to fit though necessarily.
