"UFO" this afternoon

Sat in my room, when I get a call from my daughter downstairs that there's a UFO in the sky outside, flying towards our house. "Yes, dear."

 

Then my wife, calls down, come and see there's a really weird plane going overhead now.

 

I could hear it at this point, so looked out the window ... and there was a B-2 Stealth Bomber right above my house.

 

Never seen one in the flesh before. Strange beastie.

 

Must have been headed for Fairford ... a US show of force, shoring up European defences in response to Mr. Putin's recent antics, no doubt.

 

By the time I'd grabbed my camera it was gone.

They're over together with a number of B52's for a military exercise . I saw something interesting yesterday too, I'm not as keyed up as I used to be but what looked very much like a Gloster Meteor flew over at 1,000 or so feet.
