HEADPHONES Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 (edited) So the zed takes 4.2 litres for an oil change and I usually supply a 5l can of Mobil 1 but now aquired Castrol Edge which comes in a 4litre can. Would you A. Give them a full can and a separate plastic bottle containing 200ml B. Just give them one 4 litre can and carefully top up the final 200 ml or so at home. or C. Not be so anal and just hand over 2 cans and take the remainder home for next time. I hate being so paranoid. Used the same highly recommended garage for years but still worry someone may take a fancy to my oil and it not end up in my zed Edited March 30, 2014 by HEADPHONES Quote

rtbiscuit Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Why not just buy an additional 1 litre bottle to go with your 4 litre My garage give me back my oil container with the spare oil in it for top ups. Could be worse you could need 8 litres like me for an oil change, hence why 4 litres are perfectly sensible as I just buy 2. Quote
Jp606 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 DE takes 4.7 and the HR takes 4.9 with an oil and filter change, sometimes a little more depending how long it's left to drain, believe it's 5.5 overall. Just buy another 1L bottle. Quote
