LloydZee Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Just lately the exhaust on my 350z is sounding a lot louder than usual. It doesn't sound like it's blowing at all and it's a standard exhaust. Is the exhaust prone to crack anywhere or has anyone else had this issue? Yes I know everyone wants a louder exhaust, but it is very loud for standard. Cheers Quote

Nick350z Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 As already mentioned - check the rear silencer join - it's where mine split. Perfect time for an upgrade though! If you get a Cobra then go for a non-resonated. It makes rather a pleasing sound :-) Quote

OV53 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 The resonated Cobra that I had on was unbearable for cabin drone between 2k and 2.5k RPM or between 60 and 70 mph in 6th gear. So much so that I swapped it out and went silly expensive with the Amuse R1 and the Motordyne Resonated XYZ which solved the drone! You can do it cheaper than my route but I would go one step above the Cobra resonated if you can stretch your budget a bit. There are some decent presented ones kicking about at the minute like, and if none tickle your fancy then one will pop up sooner or later! Quote
