I wouldn't be tempted to buy the first half decent Zed you see as there are more and more on the market at your price range. A couple of things worth looking out for are dodgy synchro's between 5th and 6th gears (grinding noise when you change between 5th and 6th). Sometimes the window motors fail and cost the best part of £350 rom Nissan (ZMan Alex does them for £179) Some of the early Bose systems have dodgy CD players and the front right hand speakers fail. I'd also check out plenty of insurance brokers as fee's until you hit 25 vary greatly. Have you tried Adrian Flux?
