Flex Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Anyone ran the update yet? Just had the option, figured I'd wait a few days, make sure there's no major issues. Or should I just jump in? Quote
neo Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 My phone came preinstalled with KitKat, seems very stable and not crashed once, there are a few apps that aren't fully compatible with 4.4 but sure the most popular ones will be soon. really not much difference between 4.3 and 4.4 just a few tweaks here and there http://www.droid-life.com/2013/10/11/android-4-4-vs-android-4-3-the-changes-so-far/ http://www.knowyourmobile.com/android/android-44-kitkat/21550/android-44-kitkat-review-good-bad-and-whats-still-missing Quote

ZMANALEX Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Running Kit Kat 4.4 on my Nexus 5 and had no issues so far. Alex. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 ^^ Totally agree, £299.00 from Google or circa £550.00 for iPhone, no brainer IMHO. Alex. Quote
Gudzy Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 +1, I got a nexus 5 on release as my iPhone 4 had developed a fault with the power button. Quote
Arran Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Need to wait for 4.4 on my s4 but the last update 4.3 has really ****ed up my phone. Considering taking it back it been so bad, Dropping signal on calls Having barely any signal at all times Keeps disconnecting wifi Couldn't receive texts at some point Phone would turn itself off Tbh im wondering wether I should have just stayed with the iPhone Quote
Lexx Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Arran - that's a Samsung firmware issue I believe. Mostly affected S3 phones when updating to 4.3. If you switch of 3G it prevents the call dropping. Firmware update due at same time as 4.4 roll out. Quote
Arran Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Hope its not to long before its out, not had the phone long and its not making a good advert for samsung phones Quote
