Looking great mate, i have just got the same diffuser from Tarmac. How did they attach it in the end and did you have any issues with clearance on the exhaust tips? On a test fit it seems a bit tight with my Invidia

They used about 4-6 screws with a drill, then got a black sharpee ;) get some tape and a pencil, you'll need to mark up on the bumper, along with some masking tape to hold it in place and to avoid scratching. Once it's fitted properly it clears the exhaust easily.

Did they drill/screw through the diffuser into the bumper mate?

I'm 99% sure they drilled through the Diffuser into the Bumper, doesn't make sense to drill holes in the bumper 1st, then into the diffuser

i drilled the holes in the crease on the inner edge of the outer fins at the top on both sides ....very hard to see them if you didnt know where to look.then added a couple from the bottom of the deffuser into the lower valance of the bumper.....makes it pretty fail safe and rigid.

I keep meaning to do my engine bay bits too. I think given I have some time tomorrow after washing the baby I'll do some spraying!

For a days work, I'd stick with the Battery/Brake Fluid lids bud.

So, time for a big update, going to be a busy couple of weeks.

Front Splitter has been sprayed Gloss Black thanks to a local body work garage.

Big Gay Wing Arrived and Fitted

Full oil change inc Gear/Diff

Plen Spacer Fitted

Can't thank the Zed shed enough for the work they put into all this, legends!

So first up - Front Splitter -

Very happy with the finish, The body shop have quoted to spray my front end (Bonnet, Wings, Bumper) for £400 and they will fill in the holes on the splitter and glue it on.

So thanks to Matt (Aliveboy/Deadman) I've now ended up with stickers on my car...

Plenum off, turns out didn't need spark plugs changed, so that saved some time.

Then for the Finally -

IMG_1511_zps52b4ad63.jpg

This was a pain in the arse (For Bob and Chris )

So we did a test of putting it together to see how it would sit on the car...

IMG_1513_zpsce11fe52.jpg

IMG_1514_zpsb462efaf.jpg

We managed to line it up perfectly by matching the rear window, at a close inspection the rear ends of the windows are flowing down along the legs.

They then added the sticky pads under the mounts to stop the scratching, and then drilled 3 holes through the mounts and through the boot...

IMG_1515_zpsa1c1b3f2.jpg

IMG_1516_zpsf7f8d6c0.jpg

Then came the next issue, it's not just a flat back under the boot, there is a second layer of metal, so this meant, the bolts the wing supplied were to short. The Zed shed had a couple kicking around, but in the end I think we mainly used my old plenum spacer bolts.

IMG_1517_zps37d70452.jpg

Getting the legs into the stand required A LOT of force -

IMG_1518_zpsb1a6fa75.jpg

You will need to get it in half way, and then put the screws in to then pull it down.

There is some metal plates that go on underneath the boot for extra support with the tension

IMG_1520_zpsafcc6712.jpg

We could only fit 2/3 do to the second layer.

The wing almost finished, just pulling it down into it's final position

Then came to adjusting the height of the Wing and Working out which way the end plates should face

Again a MASSIVE thank you to the Zed Shed, you were all so helpful and did a fantastic job!!!!

As for the wing, it's not to everyone's taste, and that's the point, as everyone says each to there own, and I love it :) The car does need an aggressive look to pull it off, and that will be the route I'll be going down.

Most people would of got the Wing last, but I thought I'd be different.

Next Mod will include Wheels

Thanks for reading!

*Edit - Posted more pictures than I'm allowed *

You're removing the stock spoiler right?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Eventually it will probably go, but lot of work to get the boot right smoothed etc with removal of the OEM lip. Will wait until one of the other guys have put theirs on.
