Little but confused about rev up

You can upRev a Rev-Up too :p

I've been told the rev up revs differently after an uprev. So an uprev'd rev up will rev differently to a uprev'd non rev up when you give it some revs.

Best thing I've ever heard you say. :stir:

Definitely the most sensible thing he has EVER said

Very amusing chaps but not very helpful. ;)

Just to be clear, an Uprev and a RevUp are 2 different things and I think the OP knows that.

An Uprev is indeed retuning of the original ECU map and is generally carried out after engine performance modifications are carried out.

A RevUp is the name given by Nissan to engines in the DE Series supplied in 2005 and 06, basically HP increased from 287 to 300

You forgot to mention the Revup version has a higher tendency to burning oil.

I have a Revup..

Also on the dash there will be sign saying Rev..

Another difference is torque is lower than original DE but Bhp is slightly higher.

Revup has variable valve exhaust timing.

Revup rev limit is also higher than standard DE.

If you have a chance id go for Revup over the DE.

@ blocky, you did, I just tried to help by adding a link.

@ Wasso, That wasn't in the topic of conversation!!

You did state it wasn't very helpful though. Sigh...

Bloody hell!! I also said it was very amusing, referred to chaps (as in plural) this would indicate that it wasn't directed solely at one person and used ;) I hope that clears things up now :D
