Zhorno Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Some 1 tell me the facts I keep seeing people having up rev tunning done , does this have relation to the rev up zeds . Or is it just the name rev up. Probly a stupid question Quote
Dblock Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) Rev up is the engine with 296bhp. Up rev is tuning software. Edited November 17, 2013 by Dblock 1 Quote
Dblock Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 You can upRev a Rev-Up too I've been told the rev up revs differently after an uprev. So an uprev'd rev up will rev differently to a uprev'd non rev up when you give it some revs. 6 Quote

glrnet Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Very amusing chaps but not very helpful. Just to be clear, an Uprev and a RevUp are 2 different things and I think the OP knows that. An Uprev is indeed retuning of the original ECU map and is generally carried out after engine performance modifications are carried out. A RevUp is the name given by Nissan to engines in the DE Series supplied in 2005 and 06, basically HP increased from 287 to 300 http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php?title=What_engine_do_I_have%3F Quote

SkylineV35 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) I have a Revup.. Also on the dash there will be sign saying Rev.. Another difference is torque is lower than original DE but Bhp is slightly higher. Revup has variable valve exhaust timing. Revup rev limit is also higher than standard DE. If you have a chance id go for Revup over the DE. Edited November 22, 2013 by SkylineV35 Quote
