Did have a problem with one of them breaking down internally but were replaced with no hassles and have been as good as gold ever since! If yuo're thinking of doing the Nismo then you might as well do the cats at the same time. Will prevent a lot of hassle having to get the car up in the air again at a later date :)

They are pretty easy to do with the right equipment to be honest. CAn't see it taking a professional much more than an hour with the right tools barring any problems with seized bolts etc. Make sure you keep hold of the parts you are replacing though, including the bolts as they might come in handy if you wish to swap back come sale time :)

Ive got same setup as u... nismo and hi flow cats..

Only after few months my Y-pipe blew.. i thought just one off faulty y pipe and Phil helped me out by replacing it.

But its only been couple of months since the new one went on and i think its blown again.. I hardly thrash my car about.. im so frustrated!!

Wierd for 2 to go so quick.

Was the replacment supplied by Phil a nismo y-pipe?

You been doing donughts? Cats tight enough or you got some play?

yes it was a Nismo pipe, very strange as we have not had any problems.

I 'm running the standard Y pipe on my Nismo as the Nismo one split.. I have heard of quite a few people in the states having probs with the Nismo y pipe...but saying that doesnt seem to makje any difference with the standard Nissan y pipe fitted :)
