I'm starting this build thread to keep track of 350Z. I'm not planning too many mods just some subtle enhancements :D . I like clean , minimalist, aggressive styling.

Bought standard 06/2013 -

30,000 Miles (~49,000 KM) on the clock.

One dip bulb was blown when I picked up the car so I decided to upgrade to Osram Xenon 5500k Dip Bulbs and Osram LED 6000K Parking Bulbs. I will get better pictures of these when I get a chance, the colour they offer is a perfect "premium" looking extreme white.

My first exterior mod - Stubby Aerial! Same reception quality as the standard aerial and looks much better. Thanks to tarmacsportz for this Honda RDX stubby aerial.

My second exterior mod - plastdip the front middle lip. This is a fantastic mod and makes the front of the car look far more aggressive. It also doesn't make the car look "modified".

Mid Plastidipping session ...

Done after 5 coats and 8 hours of drying -

B) very nice looking car. The front lip looks excellent

Thanks! Yeah I'm very happy with the lip, it was my first time using Plastidip. It's awesome stuff, very easy to use and appears to be holding up very well.

I've got the same head unit. How do you find it? Have you used the mirror link unit?

Your zed looks great, love that front lip colour mod!

I've had it two weeks now. For the price I think it's great - plenty of features etc. It is a little slow though considering how fast even cheap smart phones are now. Unfortunately I don't have an android phone so I haven't been able to try mirror link. I also noticed the "telenav" app isn't on the home screen, maybe it's not available in Europe? Which is disappointing.

How are you finding it?

Not had it fitted yet, but a friend has it in his car, and I tried the mirror link feature, and to be honest that's what sold it to me, and the fact it has a front USB port! I was able to run my sat nav on my phone, and there it was on screen! Basically using my phone via the head unit. The interaction with the music lists/folders seemed really good to me - and the quality of the sound (to me) was a definite upgrade.

I think there may be a firmware upgrade as my friend's seemed fairly slick. :)

Are these the bulbs?

Doh, haven't checked this thread in ages. It's probably too late now but I got them from here:

http://www.carbulbsdirect.com/product/xenarc-cool-blue-intense-d2r-single

Yeah they're bloody expensive.

They're listed as 5000k most places. However, supposedly they were reclassed as 5500k at one stage. They look very white - touching on blue-ish.

This car is now gone (some plank drove into the back of it in November) , I'm picking up my 2008 350Z HR next week so I will open a new thread for that :teeth: .

Here's a nice farewell pic from an awesome trip I did around the South-West of Ireland in the summer.

Shame about the car, looked very well! Think I may have seen it in the flesh during the summer on the back roads between Blanch and Lucan.

At least you're getting a HR soon though!
