Chris AME Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) Zed let me down on my drive home tonight, seemed to lose power then engine slip and vdc light came on, car takes a bit longer to crank than usual. Tried clearing codes but lights come straight back on. Gonna pop back to work for consult so I can read the codes, im suspecting a sensor fault but I will find out shortly Edited June 24, 2013 by atkin666 1 Quote
ddcboyle Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Hopefully something simple, you done anything to the car recently? Most of my faults or because ive done something and a wire gets caught Quote
ZMANALEX Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Genuine Nissan crank and cam sensors are in stock and good to go same/next day if you need a quick fix if you find that they are on back order. Alex. Quote

Just takes longer to crank Joking aside glad you tracked it down. Hope you can get it sorted soon. Quote
CrustyCrab Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 It does sound like a sensor, had exactly the same and it was bank 2 cam sensor. Thanks to Alex for supplying a new sensor. A pretty easy fix in the end Quote
Chris AME Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 New camshaft position sensor fitted and shes running sweet again 1 Quote
Cozzi Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I currently have similar issues on my Zed, Takes 5+ seconds turning the key to start, the Engine Check light, Slip and TCS lights are on 75% of the time but was told that could be the sports cats, and very occasionally the 'Slip' light flashes and I seem to loose power as if it thinks im breaking traction and cutting power? Chris AME Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Best thing to do is read the fault codes, mine came up as bank 1 camshaft position sensor and go from there Quote
