ioneabee Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I know I may be considered an old fart here - but I listen to Radio 2 and on the whole enjoy it !!! On the post 2010 370 GT's the radio gives a scrolling message identifying the show and whats actually being played - however for the last couple of months mine has stopped showing the track being broadcast and sticks on one that may have been broadcast a couple of hours ago ?? !! can anyone confirm if this is my issue (ie a setting somewhere), or a broadcast issue thanks Quote
DoogyRev Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I think it depends on the tracks being played, I have the same feature in the Truck Quote
ioneabee Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Have you tried radio 3 or 4? I tried Radio 1 ...................... but didn't last more than a few minutes  Quote
ioneabee Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 I think it depends on the tracks being played, I have the same feature in the Truck thing is...................it used to work for every track Quote
glrnet Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Seriously, have you tried another station that you know it works on? Quote
ioneabee Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 ok - so switched to radios 3 and 4 and unfortunately they're mainly talkies, symphonies, discussions and plays - so doesn't really help so back to Radio 1 - decided to perform a home lobotomy 1st as it would be less painfull and hey ho, it keeps up with whats being played - even though I couldn't understand what was being "sung", the general gist from the presenter seemed to be there, even though it was utter drivell Does that mean then, that my system is working fine but the professionalism of Radio 2 is slipping ? Quote
glrnet Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Radio 2 does broadcast over quite a wide frequency, maybe you've shifted away from the strongest reception in your area, just a stab in the dark Quote
ioneabee Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 I'll try Jeremy Kyle - might get more sense Quote
ChrisS Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 It's all to do with the quality of the info, held on the music track file by the BBC and the transmission signal strength, and it then getting to your radio. Always seems to show the info better when in Cities and in the summer. (sh1te weather hurts signals !!) Quote
ioneabee Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 How come then the Radio 1 info is coming through ? Quote
elfman Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I listen to radio 2 when at work and I'm 25 so it's mate Not tried it on the zed though. I think Chris evens would help he's a fellow petrol head! Quote
ChrisS Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 How come then the Radio 1 info is coming through ? Because young people listen to Radio 1 and they have good eye sight so can read what is transmitted. Radio 2 listeners on the other hand ............ I don't know. You know I jest Andy... Quote
ioneabee Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 hmmm - never a truer word said in jest Quote
Ebized Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Easy cure, just wind the window down a little then you will hear some real music Quote
ioneabee Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 god you lot are bloody helpfull lately winding the window down gives me the backing track to Radio 2 jingles Quote
glrnet Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 How come then the Radio 1 info is coming through ? It could be a lot worse, this pillock could still be on, once introduced ZZ top as Zed Zed top Quote

choptop Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 (edited) ahh, them were the days - good 'ol Tony so - this morning the tracks came up (20 minute drive to work), this afternoon failed completely WTF - BTW the weather was clear as a bell both times Nissan would tell you it was a fault with the unit but it is 'out of warranty' so would cost you £2k to repair  Edited February 6, 2013 by choptop Quote
ioneabee Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 OK - fed up of this now driving home tonight 17:20 and it was showing as Steve Wright when it should at the least be saying Simon Mayo can those with 2010 on connect premium do me a favour and tune in to Radio 2 and see whether you're getting the correct info for programme presenter and songs as said previously Radio one is working Quote
sipar69 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I'm only tuning into Radio 2 if you promise me that Terry Wogan is no longer on! 1 Quote
