Ceejay29 Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Ah i see, it looks nice Vlad. I have the NRG slimline boss and gen 2.5 quick release hub. I preferred the wheel bolted directly to boss but as you have mentioned you quickly adapt. Nice bit of kit with a deep dish Quote
Jdm owner Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Just been reading your build thread... Wow massive thumbs up a lot of graft has went into it looks sweet as.. :) Quote
Vlad Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) well, here's another small update... Fitted quick release today And picture of blue/red LED conversion of the dash + new dial cards ^ found 2 faults so far... "side lights/headlights on" light/LED not working and second half of the speedo is not very bright even tho all LEDs are on. Will investigate Next thing to change gear shaft (as it snapped as per my other thread) and hoover inside of the car Edited July 19, 2014 by Vlad Quote
GMballistic Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Very nice. Have you got one of those D loops in your Zed's boot then Vlad? It's a good idea if you haven't as it means you can padlock the steering wheel to it and leave it in the boot of the car when you go shopping or whatever. Can't find an image to show you but basically just a welded loop of metal in the boot which you can then padlock your steering wheel to. Quote
Vlad Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 nah, i'll be a cool kid and carry it on the back of my backpack... just like that kid in Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift 1 Quote
jumping350 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 why stop there your half way towards a quick release gear stick too liking the steering wheel Quote
Vlad Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 why stop there your half way towards a quick release gear stick too liking the steering wheel i'm not half way there...i'm already there Quote
GMballistic Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Was that the Korean version of "Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift" Vlad?. Lol. If you could set one of those rotary car lift garages up in your house to store the Zed now that would be cool. Quote
Vlad Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 Haha I'm not sure...but couldn't find that scene in English lol Oh that would be cool indeed...or one of them garages that lift up from under the ground lol Quote
GMballistic Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 ^^ Like this... Come on Lottery win that's all I can say. Quote
Vlad Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Was about to change my short shifter to OEM one after it snapped.... but came up with great idea... still plenty of metal left - so made up new thread on the stick and its old good Trial fit Trial fit with gear surround on Happy days Quote

Vlad Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 If it doesn't - ill change it to oem shifter and smaller knob...can't keep getting her with the big knob Quote

Vlad Posted September 8, 2014 Author Posted September 8, 2014 Little update It was time to upgrade brakes slightly... Bought a set of discs off Keyser, set of yellow stuff pads from Cougar Store and Motul 660 RBF off Clark Motorsport Fitted Fronts no problem Rears wasn't as easy as 2 nuts on rear drivers side wheel spacer rounded off... so men's best friend came to the rescue... Grinded off some of spacer around 2 rounded nuts to give more access for a size smaller socket... Also accidentally popped piston out of rear caliper (passenger side)... So thought it was good time to replace seals at same time... Ordered new spacer and seal kit off Clark Motorsport New seals fitted, brakes fitted, new fluid is in, spacer on, HAPPY DAYS Got some new wheel nuts as well Then decided to change my vortech filter.... really like the look of HKS mushroom filters... but SC diameter is 90mm and HKS only do 80mm or 100mm.... then Darren suggested buying cheaper filter (same style as HKS) and just replacing foam as original foam it comes with is pretty crap. So bought one of them Ash Performance filters, some RamAir replacement foam, took it apart, cut out new foam, refitted...and yes, HAPPY DAYS 2 Quote
GMballistic Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Good stuff Vlad. Can be a right PITA when things like what happened to you with the spacer occur but well done for persevering. Quote
