Ricey Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 What do you expect, thats a dealer for you I bought it off a dealer (granted.....probably not a car dealer but a dealer none the less!) for £5700.....that's a bloody big difference considering the value of the car. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 feel sorry for the poor mug that buys it 8K and its likely to go boom now ricey's had it. Quote
Dblock Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 You sold it for 3.5k? Even with the duff box I'd have taken it for more Quote
ewan221 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Few years ago guy I now had a Z3M roadster was dully serviced, mots and detailed for a private sale. he ended up selling to dealer for £6500 dealer had it up for sale next day at £12500. Can understand that dealer needs to make a profit, cover risk of not selling and offer warranty etc but this car needed no prep or servicing what so ever Quote
Ricey Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 You sold it for 3.5k? Even with the duff box I'd have taken it for more No mate 4300. Flogged it to a dealer in ebay. Quote
Iwantone Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 The main thing to remember here, is that price is NOT a function of cost. Quote
Chris`I Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 The main thing to remember here, is that price is NOT a function of cost. Bingo And do you really think they will sell it for the ticket price that they are asking? Quote
Ekona Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Bearing in mind they have to warranty the car, so they're either giving themselves a fairly sensible margin in case anything goes wrong OR they've already spent that money to fix the bloody thing and now have to reclaim it back from the sale. Seems a reasonable thing to me. Quote
Squee Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Blimey. That'll be impressive hustling if they sell it for that. Did I read somewhere that you've bought a TT Ricey?, if so then how's that coming along? Or have I been imagining things again heehee! S. Quote
