How do I set my alarm off??

Been trying to set my alarm off to test it but to no avail, Ive got a 2004 import with a cobra immobiliser and have tried my door handles when the car is locked and also locked the car with the windows down and put my arm in and it had still not set the alarm off?? Is the cobra imboliser just an imboliser not an alarm also??

Try smashing the windows, pinch the stereo and all the CD's - sell them and get a new alarm.

And as wasso says sounds like u only have an immob. Do u have a red flashing light just above the wheel (under windscreen) when locked?

Hi mate yes one at the top of the dash and 1 just under the right of the steering wheel where the immobiliser key goes.

Mine goes off whevever it hails, trucks driving past a little too close has set it off as well. Give it a kick and see what happens

I accidentally hit the lock button on the fob after climbing in and the alarm went off until I inserted the key. Sounds like your after market cobra is interfering with the factory alarm.

In my car (standard UK 2005 model) I can get the alarm to go off by locking the car with a window open and waving my hand in through the open window. Not sure if your setup will do the same though

I was going to say try sitting on the bonnet, but humping should have the same effect and is more enjoyable to boot...

 

Mine sets off when anything with a loud exhaust goes past. As mine has a loud exhaust I always say it can dish it out but it can't take it.
