MattH Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Hi all, Mods: apologies if this is the wrong subforum I am interested in swapping my vx220 turbo for a 350z 313 around September/October time. It currently has 43000 on the clock. For anyone that doesn't know about these great cars, it's a 2 litre turbo gm engine in a chassis built by lotus alongside the Elise. 200bhp in something that weighs as much as a shoe propels you from 0-60 in under 5 seconds! Criteria for the 350z as follows: -MUST be a 313 (post 2007?) -Coupé only -Not silver -Mileage similar to mine or lower -No imports -No damage repaired cars -Preferably with all the extras, satnav etc. -Manual I'm based in Essex and willing to travel a reasonable distance but not too far! Any interest, give me a shout! Edit: it's a 2005 car but will come with the VXT plate Edit2: Manual cars only! Quote
Jay Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Welcome to the forum... may be a long shot but worth a punt. All the best Quote
MattH Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 Thanks. It's worth a shot to save all the hassle of selling and then finding one to buy. Plus this is currently my everyday car so I would have nothing to use in the interim... Quote
MattH Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 Sure you can, you just need to do a bit of contortionism! I'm 6'5 and get on fine Quote
Jay Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Or I can keep eating and keep my 350z! fair point Quote
Keyser Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I don't fit in these ya nutter Stick with the 350 then Quote
Gball1973 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 As Jay said earlier it may be a long punt, but good luck. btw to the forum. Pop up an intro thread here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3 Oh, your original post didn't state which year? It may help gather some interest Quote
Dblock Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I don't see why this is a long shot surely they are worth roughly the same? Love these cars. Quote
MattH Posted June 19, 2012 Author Posted June 19, 2012 Edited the OP to say it's a 2005 so quite a late model. And yes they are worth roughly the same amount so hopefully someone will be interested. And the advantage with the Vx over the Zed is that it has probably finished depreciating! Quote
Cragus Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Always preferred lotus exige/elise but the VX220 is a beauty too. Hopefully somebody is out there that can help you do a swap. Quote
KyleR Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I'd love a VX as my next car, but I want to hold onto the Zed for a while (because it's awesome!) and mine is the earlier 04 model anyway. I remember 10/12 years ago when they were first released a family friend bought a red one and I wanted one the first second I seen it, he was getting on a bit though and sold it 4-5 months later because he wasn't enjoying getting in and out of it Quote
veilside z Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Criteria for the 350z as follows: -MUST be a 313 (post 2007?) -Coupé only -Not silver -Mileage similar to mine or lower -No imports -No damage repaired cars -Preferably with all the extras, satnav etc. i thought the 350 was a coupe ? Quote
MattH Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 He means that he doesn't want a ragtop Yeah that ^^ Quote
