lomoto Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 So are you going german now or that S type you were considering? This one looks OK http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/186990.htm I think an S-type looking favorite, been to look at this 04, 20k mile example out of budget but I live in hope Quote
Kev946 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 I like 'em. How about a V8. If you're not doing too many miles it won't be an issue and a used V8 will probably be a bit cheaper. My car's computer was showing 31 mpg today whilst cruising at 60 mph in the rain.... Quote

Got to admit fuel consumption is about the last thing on my priorities list, if one came along I'd have a look, The Supercharged 400bhp version looks tasty Quote
Zedrush Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 In that case a clk 500, my brother had one and they can go quite juicy Quote
Stew Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 I've driven an XKR silverstone and an XJR. The 400bhp supercharged is awesome! Quote
Zzzz... Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Accord Type R, if you never drove one, and you are not bothered by fuel consumption, and high revving engine, this will be the most understated race-boy car you'll even find... and generally practical... and super reliable...I know the image these cars have in UK ( see slippers above...) but try one if you never have driven one... It is also the last of the old school VTEC ( engine rotates in opposite direction to other conventional engines,220bhp, 8.200 red line, and a VTEC kick around 6000rpm that will have you gagging for saliva... ) Quote
sinbad Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 The Accord Type-R is a great car. Has some top Recaro seats and handles like a dream. Was voted best handling FWD car at one time. I don't think its the cruiser Tim's after though. Quote
lomoto Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 You cant beat the shopping experience for cars Quote
Stew Posted June 26, 2007 Author Posted June 26, 2007 It's like Andy and Lou from Little Britain. I want that one.... I want that one... Are you sure? I don't like it.... I want that one..... Quote
