Shinjuku Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Dont you have an auto though dave? :( Wash your mouth out right now Steve Just search for 'spursmaddave' + 'knob' Lol. Lots of results there! I also did a wider "google image" search - that returned some disturbing results :!: Quote
RobPhoboS Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I'm looking to get a different pedal or one that clamps on top. Any recommendations ? Quote
Stew Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 The nismo pedal as discussed in the thread. Quote
RobPhoboS Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Ok so some are saying it's good and others that it doesn't make a difference ? I need to measure the standard one and find out the width of the nismo one. Quote
Ekona Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 It makes a massive difference. Anyone who says otherwise is a fibber. The Zed was the first car I learnt to heel and toe in, and the pedal was a huge help. Now I can do it without on any vehicle, but as a tool to learn with (or make life easier) it's a no-brainer. RobPhoboS Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I've been doing it for years, so it's not something I need to learn but I don't find it comfortable in the 350 wearing my normal shoes. In my boots it's ok-ish as they are wider but I don't always want to twist my heel right around in order to tap it. Quote
Ekona Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 If you roll your ball rather than twist your ankle in the Zed, then I agree the RS pedal won't be of much use to you. Quote
RobPhoboS Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I'm still on the look out, I just can't justify £45/50 for that pedal. There are plenty of universal type of ones on ebay BUT the fixing on the rear look a bit unsafe (imho). Demon Tweeks have quite a few but no measurements Quote
dErZ Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Ive got me a 380RS pedal coming from the states. Think it works out at £23 as a friend is hand carrying it back. 1 Quote

rtbiscuit Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 i found the zed pedal setup as standard very bad for heel and toe, it was the worst car yet to do it in, and the 380RS pedal didn;t help. you also need to change the height of the brake pedal and raise it, as i found i couldn't get the pressure on the pedal enough to apply brake. but raise the brake pedal and it make slife easier. still not the best pedal setup i've driven. the S2000 and the MR2 both had pedal setups that just made the whole process natural. but the zed set you really have to work at. i have a dodgy ankle so for normal people it might not be so bad. but the biggest issues is the pedals aren;t at the same height. Chris`I Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Very easy to change the height of the brake/accelerator. Did mine when I installed the pedal, did make a big difference. Quote
