cant find a steight answer tc

right can some one please answer my question as ive googled, searched on here etc and nothing seems to match my criteria.

 

basicaly i want to turn the traction control off, but there is no button any were, no vdc, tcd etc, so i assume base model = no tc any way? yet some one ses all jdm imports arnt 'base models' and when you give the car the beans in the wet, its cuts power and i get 'slip' flashing at me? also when i turn ignition on, i get the tc light on the dash breifly light up (for bulb check) yet theres no button any were to be seen?

 

any one clear this up for me?

It will have Traction Control. It will be on a button to the right of the steering wheel, about 6 inches up from the fuel release...

I think I understand your question

TC button is to the lower right of the steering wheel, next to fuel filler cap release

as for the TC button it should be in that area, my guess is where the hole is. but you say there is nothing behind there? have you taken the dash off to look?

This is where the TC switch was .... check behind and I'm sure you'll find it ...... switch pushing out is a common problem

no, just gave the car a good poke with my finger in the hole and i cant seem to be able to feel anything, will take the pannel off tomorrow in the light and see if its low down?

 

card thingy is somthing to do with tolls in japan apparently?

right it was buggin me so had to go out now and look lol, took the bottom plastic trim down and there was the little bugger hanging down by the steering colomn! excellent news! and thanks everyone for helping clear up my problem all round

mines import and thats where mine is so i would say its sitting behind somewhere prob all the way down there somewhere by now if its been missing in action for a while

Make sure you keep it to the track too. We've had far too many people stick it in a hedge/kerb/ditch/tree (delete as appropriate) who thought they could handle the car. Not saying you cant, but not on the roads please

Dont like to name names, but not all incidents have been reported on the open forum - its not uncommon for members end up writing off their cars and move on One of the most widely known incidents was on the way back from a Wales run. Fortunately no one was hurt but the car didnt look good afer is spun and hit a kerb. This was on drying roads.
