Hi Guys and Girls

Just looking for opinions on what my car is worth as thinking of putting her up for sale soon. Not a decision taken lightly - any time i think of selling it, next time im in it i just want to keep it!! argh!!

Anyway back to the point, spec/details are as follows:

UK registered GT in Gunmetal grey

Alzean Leather - MINT

Rays Wheels

43k miles

Tyres ALL good, Vreds.

Recent rear adjustable drop links fitted (supplied by Zmanalex)

OE Spec LED rear lights,

s2000 ariel

Full Nissan/Specialist service history as follows:

P1 - 25.08.04, 6062 miles @ Hammond Nissan

P2 - 09.01.06, 14817 miles @ Hammond Nissan

P1 - 22.01.07, 18663 miles @ Hammond Nissan

P3 - 24.01.08, 23849 miles @ Hammond Nissan

P1 - 22.01.09, 28090 miles @ Hammond Nissan

P2 - 28.01.10, 34721 miles @ Allen Nissan

P1 (+Belts) - 08.02.11, 40733 miles @ Cougar Store 350z Specialists

Has been professionally lowered/spaced by Cougar Store using Eibach Springs, with Eibach hubcentric spacers and also Eibach adjustable rear camber arms so tyres track the ground properly after lowering. I have the standard springs if required too.

2 previous owners - Car was pre registered with Nissan, then an older retired chap had it and hardly used it then me so really only 2 owners.

Great condition. low mileage obviously and a very neat looking example - i'm sure this will be echoed by CS as he has had the pleasure of viewing it twice and was impressed at the condition of the car. This car has been very well looked after by all owners.

A few more will be added in a sec.

Any comments welcome..

Thanks

Chris

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Look on Auto-trader, and find cars like yours. Price it higher if you think you can get more, lower if you think its in worse condition or are desperate for a quick sale.

These "whats it worth" or "thinking of selling" threads seem somewhat pointless to me.

Proberbly 7500-8k if your lucky, low mileage seems to be the selling point now

I was thinking that, but didn't want to be shouted down by the hordes who think that a Zed should always be worth at least £27K. I would suggest doing what Lexx says and scan PH and AT for ideas of the market, but always stick to your guns if you believe you can get a better figure for it in your area.

+1

Use AT or PH and gauge the value yourself.

Also, as a guide I find 'Whatcar' online valuations are pretty accurate http://www.whatcar.com/valuations

Nonsense, every Z is worth atleast £30K ;)

I sold mine in May with slightly lower mileage but completley standard & got £8300 for it :) Beginning to think I got really lucky with that though

Lexx...I thought this was the idea of a forum to help other members with their questions and queries?

Thing is it is all down to the esoteric nature of the vehicle..

I just wanted to say that.

However to help clue people in to the nature of the car you need a decent advertisement. A good write up, and plenty of detailed photos will help move it so much faster.. Maybe. Get a Photobucket account or such, and a decent camera and get plenty of high res photos online so people can see what they could be buying. Number of shockingly written ads, or poor quality photos is surprising given the condition the market is in.

Price wise, £7k to £8k at a guess, but be prepared for people to negotiate down.

Absolutely.

My reference was more to the opinion of not being sure if they want to sell or not.

You either want to sell or not. If you do, you place and advert. If you dont want to sell, you do nothing.

And pricing what a car is worth isnn't difficult. 5 minutes on Autotrader is all it takes.

Fair point Lexx  .....I do completely agree with what you're saying; surely you either know if you're going to sell or not and if people are only thinking of selling up to perhaps make a profit.....then they're in the wrong place!

As for the price, I always find for the 350z pricing Piston Heads is the best place to search as the motors tend to be listed by enthusiasts or specialist dealers so more likely to find a good example or spectrum in price. Autotrader tends to have as you've mentioned the poorly written adverts with limited pictures attached.

I have mine up for £15,900 on a mint 2008 313HR Roadster with 7,300mls on the clock and not a sniff........

Only placed it on here as not that desparate to sell to be honest.......... If I don't sell soon then it will be put in the garage as usual until April as I always do.......
