neilw3030 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 does anybody know if it is an option to fit a gtr engine instead of hardening the existing motor for forced induction, as i may be able to buy a gtr engine complete with turbos and all ancillaries Quote
Neilp Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 or the guys at abbeymotorsport, anything these guys dont know isnt worth knowing Quote
introspect Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Anything is possible if your pockets are deep enough Quote
Rx7Rebel Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 LS-1 or greater is poasible as well i hear Quote
BulletMagnet Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 If yanks can fit Corvette engines into 350Zs, then I think anything is possible (dependant on funds of course) With Corvette engine: With Toyota engine: Quote
BladesGrant Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 In the first video clip that engine sounds rough, not a nice engine note imo!! Quote
ATTAK Z Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 In the first video clip that engine sounds rough, not a nice engine note imo!! sounds a bit like a drag car would ............ and the rear tyres tell the same story Quote
Neilp Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I made the assumption he was talking about an r35 engine. Wow that videos awesome, corners so well Quote
Dblock Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 TBH if you can fit an ls1 (which has a good throttle body postion) then anything is possible I suppose. Polo on here is fitting a 2jz and an Rb25/26 would fit with abit of fabrication for mounts Im sure this would work. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 In the first video clip that engine sounds rough, not a nice engine note imo!! its been deliberatly tuned to have a lazy idle like oldschool hotrods. i prefer a bit more tune to my v8's but i still like that roughness. i don't like it when thewy are highly tuned screamers like the fezza's Quote
R35LEE Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 You can make a lot of different engines fit as there is plenty of room. It all comes down to price Quote
Tricky-Ricky Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 In the first video clip that engine sounds rough, not a nice engine note imo!! It sounds rough because it has lumpy (high lift) cams. LS1 or 2 swap is pretty easy, as you can buy a kit from the states, which comprises of engine mounts, modded sump and drive shaft foe about $1800. Quote
ATTAK Z Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Isn't there a 350Z drift car with an LS2 installed ? Think we saw it at Cadwell last year Quote
