ATTAK Z Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 http://tinyurl.com/2bmvzvy That's wrong - so wrong Quote
alessandro Posted June 19, 2010 Author Posted June 19, 2010 Good old google. Keep forgetting about it. 20.9KG Thank you Quote
ATTAK Z Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 There must be a lot of scope for weight reduction with some exotic materials if that's the case Quote
rtbiscuit Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 just by swapping to SS makes a big difference, as they use less insulating material Quote
Husky Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 what of CF is that suitable ? heat plus resin? prob not id thought Quote

rtbiscuit Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 Husky there are carbon fibre rear back boxes for some cars, the S2000 has one available for instance. but its usually easier to do with cars that have 2 seperate back boxes. usually things like buddy clubs as the cylinders are easy to replicate in CF. terribleone Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 And I was ready to post this pic.... 1 stone of pure blubber... Quote
ab20000 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 20kg for the cats! WTF are they made out of? If the backbox is really 30kg that is also insane - no need to be so heavy. The missing 350z from the range was a super lightweight stripped out car - reckon by stripping interior, a/c, changing seats, exhaust etc you'd save an absolute load of weight. Quote
alessandro Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 According to the scale at the post office the weight of both cats including packaging was 15.5Kg Quote
Wasso Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I have two cats sitting in my shed - I'd have weighed them for you but seems I'm a bit late with this thread. If anyone needs the weight of the Y pipe I can post that - which is also in my shed. I was also surprised at the weight of the cats.... heavy for what they are!! Quote
