Digsy
If it needs a bottom end rebuild I honestly don't see that as much of a bargain given its age etc. Anyone want to hazard a guess at the cost of putting that car right?

Can get a forged short block from IPP for £2.5k delivered + labour. Could be a good base for a FI project if it was a bit cheaper
wizard
Ok guys, thanks for those charming responses! I have had a load issues with this car... This ad was a bit impulsive... Will probably hang onto the car as I'm at the point of no return! Have been thinking about the short block Ian...
Sarnie
How come you've needed 4 clutches?
wizard
How come you've needed 4 clutches? Is fair to report that it wasn't my driving style that's for sure... The issue was found to be with the master slave cylinder which must have had a sticky valve inside or something and was keeping the clutch engaged. My exedy stage 1 clutch lasted one month. I thought it was faulty fitting so got it changed again, and then the next one lasted only 6 months... Zmanalex advised me of this possible master slave cylinder. All been jiggy since.. Gearboxes were because I had brought faulty ones. Btw, it wasn't the "nos" that blew the engine, lack of oil on a trackday (even though I thought i'd topped it up! )
Zedrush
damn shame, doesnt say it was the nos thats caused the knocking though could be no oil or any other reason, he would of had to of been a complete wally if he didnt take the simple precautions when using nos to damage his car. Dont give nos a bad name,

For the stage 1 it works out at about £2.5k shipped to the UK. It would be a few hundred cheaper if you ship your block back to him but for the hassle of getting it back, you might aswell pay the bit extra
rich5259
I don't see any mention of FI so how can it be 380BHP? Is that the momentary result of a big shot of nitrous?
