TA DA!!! At last, the 350Z detail in the IOM

A beautiful 350Z in for a full inside and out pampering. Protection detail and interior.

Usual wash regime.

 

 

 

Paint felt like sandpaper and used a whole clay bar this time!!!!!

 

 

After the clay I gave the car a coat of AS platinum to improve the look before waxing.

 

Wax used was Swissvax Best of Show, and whilst that cured I did the interior hoovering, leather cleaning and conditioning. Glass, tail pipes, plastics, tyres etc.

Once that was done I buffed off the wax, then got carried away with the pics as the Blue was so wet and glossy. No apologies though!

it looks like glass!, so tempted to get a clay bar kit myself and spend some hours on the car but after like 4 hrs i get sick and then start slacking!!

 

i did a maguirs 3 step system and after applying the crystal clear layer i got sick and started slacking on the polish and wax!!

 

but that is well smooth!!

With the car looking so neglected was the paint badly swirled?

For example a car scrubbed once a year with a sponge would probably be less swirled than one done weekly the same way?

 

Ps anyone know what the bracket under the back box is?

It does have what I'd describe as a usual amout of swirls, thats why I used the Platinum 1st for a bit of filling.

The bracket is for his bike carrier, he's a keen mountain biker and is training for the "end to end" bike race over here soon.
