stanski Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 100 mile range on a charge - looks aweful like the Prius. Why do I get the feeling it's more a PR exercise surely hydrogen cell is the way forward not batteries http://uk.m.yahoo.com/w/search%3B_ylt=A ... issan+leaf Quote
ATTAK Z Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 i really think i'll "leaf" that alone!! you deserve planting for that Quote
rtbiscuit Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 i don't think it will be a for-evergreen solution, more like a stop gap until fuel cells are more viable. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 sorry mate your barking up the wrong tree. Quote
sasha@lazytrips Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Anybody know what batteries the remote control for this Leaf takes? Quote
ATTAK Z Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Will these cars be sold through Comet branches ? Quote
sasha@lazytrips Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Will these cars be sold through Comet branches ? Buy Anti-Surge 4-way splitter, get Leaf free! This "novelty" is currently ranking somewhere between the pogo stick and those trainers with built-in wheels in my personal list of great transportation methods. Quote

bronzee Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Hmm, well it's 100kms plus to 150kms to the next major city either way, so I think I'll remain planted here, not near the dealership. Quote
stanski Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Oh dear oh dear how many more botanical gags can you have in a thread! Shame they did'nt call it the Nissan 'Hug-a-tree'!! Gee I wonder where that electricity comes from to charge it - hmm must be woodpeckers hitting a generator device of some description! Lets be honest its only a step away from this! Quote
Husky Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 good to see nissan branching out into the pointless non eco car sector to waste money... Quote
ATTAK Z Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 it's another government 'tick in the box' and that's ALL it is Can someone answer these questions please : 1. what are we going to do when all the boxes have been ticked ? 2. where is the money going to come from when everyone is either ............a) working for the government ? ............ working in Human Resources ? ............c) working for the elf'n'safety ? ............d) monitoring everyone else ? ............e) ticking the boxes ? ............f) on benefits Quote
Bradders Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I think its nice that Nissan want to move pollution out of the city and put it in the countryside where it belongs. According to them electricty must just "appears" in the plug by magic. I'm sure the country set will love the extra output placed on their coal fire powerstations Sticky plaster to mend a gunshot wound anyone? Bradders. ps Having said that I drive 3.5 litre petrol guzzler Quote
stanski Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 So lets get this clear - the Government will probably make it compulsary for everyone to have leccie plugs outside your front door where passing Leaf's can top up on this free energy source. The Free energy source will come from Windfarms located at every beach and offshore location around the country, oh and on tops of school roofs (Mr Biscuit probably has one at his school) all these rotating blades will play havoc with freeview boxes! We will probably go for nuclear like the French have - but to be fair they know what they are doing with it! We have Brian (UK version of Homer) greasy hair, Asda specs and a Hobnob poised to dunk in his tea On the other side - if we do go for Hydrogen fuel cell - the price of Hydrogen will shoot through the roof and massive corporations will hold us ransom - its all in the documentary I saw a few years ago with Arnie - Total Recall Quote
srobrien Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I would have one.......................... I wonder how easy it would be to stick a RB26 TT in it? R Quote
