Doris Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Hi just picked up my GT4 - well happy - so a big hello to you all ! have some questions from the off, which i can not find answers to, so if someone can help out that would be great 1. blue tooth adapter is missing, do i need a 'nissan' one or is there an alternative? 2. is the 'standard' alarm ok, or best to replace - ie clifford? 3. engine management light is on, seems complicated the way you guys check it (throttle pedal - 5 seconds etc) as its OBD11, can i not short pins 1 & 4 and read the flashes? Cheers Doris Quote

cookiemonster Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 To the forum! Just a quick question, did you buy the car with the light on? If so did that not worry you a little bit Quote
martinmac Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum. Bluetoothe kits come up on here for a good price, have a look in the for sale section. R35LEE usually has a few. The alarm is fine for me but it really depends on where you are keeping it and if there are any insurance benefits. If you have a local dealer they may read the fault for you. Alternatively there are a lot of owners with readers who may be able to help out. Resetting the ecu is an option but i would like to know what the fault is first. Quote
Stew Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Hi and welcome. Seem all the questions have been answered. I really would advice to grab the code before resetting it. It is actually very simple to do with the pedal if you don't have an OBDII reader. Quote

Beavis Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Very nice indeed. +1 But would look much better if you got a stubby and lost the stickers and the V6 badge off the b-pillars and whatever you have on the mirrors Quote
