polarbear Posted September 19, 2009 Author Share Posted September 19, 2009 Just got back from my day at Silverstone and all I can say is WOW A fantastic day with great hospitality. * 11 laps in the GT-R accompanied by an instructor (5 normal mode and 6 race mode) * Timed auto test course in the GT-R * Figure of 8 drift course in the 370 (poor tortured cars!) * 5 laps in the 370z accompanied by an instructor * 1 lap passenger in a race-spec 350z with their academy driver All of this counted towards a final assessment score with the top 3 going forward to a final in November. Best of all was onboard video footage of all laps with telemetry and audio given to us on a USB stick. Even got breakfast, lunch and a goodie bag with 10x8 photos and a jacket. Managed to come 7th out of 40 overall so not bad really. Worst thing now is that I want a GT-R BADLY. Still, 370 arrives on Saturday so not all bad.
