Took this pic to show swirls on the rear but quite liked the sparkly "stardust" appearance under the sun.

Still angry that nomatter how gently I clean the rear with mitts and 2BM it still swirs up whereas the rest of the car is OK

can't really see any swirls, but if you can then just get on it with some gently polish, i use the meguairs stuff as part of the 3 stage clean. its pretty gentle and if used infrequently should be fine for restoring the laquer

Come on Mr Headphones! Surely you have some nice deswirling material in your detailing arsenal! ;):lol:

I find the drying stage puts more swirls in than anything to be honest.

Nice flake pop by the way! It's amazing how different the colours look when looked after properly.

+1 - looks excellent chap, but how do you dry it? I've found since swapping to the washing with 2BM and drying with a "place and patt" technique, that my swirls take a very long time to come back. Try getting a i4detailing uber drying towel (its massive!) and place it on the paint then patt the area dry, remove, place somwhere else and repeat.

i let mine drip dry, that way i get no swirls ;)

But then you get watermarks :yuck:

not that i've noticed because during the waxing stage the terry cloth removes the water marks

Not if you use filtered water to do the final wash down. Those flash things are great for it, unfortunately I have just run out and can't find the filters without spending $$$. Wish I got 50 of them when they were £1 each.

Booo to southern hard water, theres no way I could let mine drip dry without filtered water, and bar those Flash things, the proper filters are uber expensive  My massive i4d towel works wonders for me :p
