download the free version, it's surprising what this finds that other programmes miss.

i use this as a starter when sorting out other peoples pc's, then full system scan with kaspersky anti-virus :)

I'll second this. Malwarebytes has saved a few PCs for my clients.

+2 - catches a few bits that AVG or other AV software doesnt catch.

Well I have now downloaded:

ccleaner

avg

malwarebytes

Think I might be over protected now :lol:

Ran AVG, it found 19 infected Trojan Horse files. Got rid of them.

Ran Malwarethingy and it found another 9 infected files :surrender:

Hopefully all gone now though

Nice one. Run ccleaner daily when you can. This gets rid of any temp and crap files plus your net (porn site) activity ;)

I was running Avast and still got infected. Now took it off and running Prevx. Conclusion, Avast is crap

These viruses mutate mate. I've just had a package arrive with a USB stick in it.... :scare:

Talking of USB sticks - we've had several PCs infected by cheap USB sticks that appear to have something in their firmware or loads itself when the drive is mounted......

did use AVG many years ago until i found kaspersky, IMHO it's worth every penny, got a 3 user license for £9 inc p+p :)
