Brutal truth !!!!

Hi all, thanks for your time.

I am looking to buy a Zed at the end of the year so as you can guess i am very excited. Since deciding what car i wanted next i have found myself constantly looking out for a Zed on the road just so i can say to our lass "theres one!!" lol but they are like rocking horse poop and yet there are plenty for sale !!!

So here is my dilema, i know they are heavy on the old motion lotion and i even know Clarkson isnt keen but i put all this aside because i LOVE the way they look and sound (always had a soft spot of a V6). I have seen more Skylines then Zeds just lately so whats the crack ?

Please can you tell me 'honestly' what the best thing is about your Zed and then tell me the worst.

Its a buyers market out there so the time is right for me to get one, i just want to know why i dont see many on the road and yet i see loads for sale !

Thanks again peeps.

Vale.

I love Top Gear but Clarkson is a badge snob. Fifth Gear gave awesome reviews and the car is a show favorite as that's more of a technical show instead of light entertainment like TG. I bought mine a month ago having never driven or even sat in one before I walked into the garage. My first impressions: :cloud9: and i'm still there. driving it for the first time, I had that feeling of pure elation. It's not too thirsty if you drive it sensibly.

Do it, brother! You wont regret a single second :teeth:

i love everything about mine - the looks, the handling, the noise, the acceleration AND the fact you don't see many when you're out and about and people don't always know what it is - especially with the fairlady badge or no badge.

And how often do you drive it sensibly sir?:lol::lol:

I love the overall look of the car, the view from the drivers seat, the positive comments from strangers.

It's been one of the most positive driving experiences I've had, and that means the car and the people I have met since here having the Zed.

+1! There arent that many on UK roads, thats what helped my decision to get one! Too many Audi TTs, Boxsters, even Z4s!

Rare as hens teeth if you ask me! ;)

the best thing about the zed is its the complete package for a bargain- looks, performance, noise, comfort, easy to drive, head turner, good selection of mods, and u dont get sore cheeks after long journeys. theres no better car for the money in my opinion. like i said, most under-rated car ever!

last time i went away i drove 3 hours to the airport - saw a few 911's, 2 aston martins and even a ferrari - not one zed! Maybe its actually the most hated car in the uk!

Best thing about it - people who know cars know what they are. Those who don't know cars just see the badge.

Worst thing about it - people don't seem to look after them outside of the clubs the way they should be which I think is a shame. And this results in the prices being a lot lower than they should be IMO.

Hahahah what an array of answers :p thanks so much for the responce peeps, appreciated.

I never knew TG rated it coupe of the year ! I do like Clarkson but he can be a snob :D

And as far as a badge is concerend whats wrong with Nissan ? i would have a Zed over a TT anyday. I drove one once and when i went to reach for my seat belt i nutted the roof :headhurt: !!! so claustrophobic. I am only 5'8" and i saw how easy Clarkson fitted in the Zed, looks roomy to me and he is about 6'

I am prepered for the fuel pit too, i recently sold my wolf ST focus, it was 300bhp and 20mpg as best !!!!! popped and banged like a gud-un though lol I was never beat by any standard Evo or scooby, it was like sh1t of a shovel, only thing let it down was the obvious front wheel drive. The CodeRed software was awesome at getting the power down though. Worst thing about the car was it was savage ! to the point of being uncomfortable so she had to go :byebye:

Its gunna be new to me getting a rear wheel drive car again, last time i had one was my Escort mk 2 LOL beast !!!!! them were the days :p cant wait to see what the pulling power will be like, and i mean torque not skirt B)

Just cant wait to get on now :bangin:

For me, its the only thing the TT betters it on.

The Interior is functional and I find the seats very comfortable but its all plastic and it squeaks and creaks a fair bit. It won't put you off, as soon as you press the "Go" pedal you'll forget all about it :D

I love the noise, the way it handles & the way it looks. I dislike the fact that its become a money pit

Money pit? - I assume you're talking about buying mods?

- If not, I'm surprised; I've had mine for a year (13,000 miles) and financially it's been a dream compared to my Boxster - 2 services and a set of tyres, apart from that it's not cost me a bean.

What I like - Everything, particularly the drive

What I don't like - The badge

I guarantee if you buy a Zed, you won't regret it, awesome car.

The award itself will be presented to Nissan by Jeremy Clarkson and editor Michael Harvey in London on 9 March.

Top Gear Magazine commented:

"From the moment you sit in the driver’s seat, the Z feels like something special. It has the right shape, the right noise, the right pace, the right poise. All at the right price. The Nissan 350Z deserves its place as our car of the year".
