Traction control problem with new alloys

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I recently put new alloys on my Zed and the traction control is kicking in nearly all the time. I called Nissan and they said theres nothen i can do except turn off the traction control but dont want to do that, it was 17" wheels on as standard and now i've only went up to 18".

Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know of a way to solve my problem?

Thanks lads Jo28sx

+1 as above

+2 need more details.

Its quite common for people to select the wrong tyre sizes when fitting them up to a Zed. There is a different radius of tyre from front to rear and some people dont know that.

You're 2% undersized on the front and 5% undersized on the back. Switch to the stock 225/45/18F and 245/45/18R and it should sort itself out nicely.

DP motorsport, a few guys on here had issues with them and tyres, when i was looking at the replica pentas they done, dont think they still do, he would not conceed the fact that i was right with the tyre sizes, have you got in touch with them ?

In theory they should because effectivly they have given you the wrong tyres, as its messing with your traction mate
