K1 Exhaust fitted

At 8:40am I had someone knock on my door.

It was the friendly local DHL man delivering a nice package.

Oh look, it says JapSpeed down the side...

I open it up to find some shiny shiny contents

Went down to my local fitters straight away who helped me fit it.

One of them has a JapSpeed on their Honda Civic and could not praise it enough.

Here it is fitted (bungs have since been removed, which resulted a 10 on my Grin-Your-Face-Off-O-Meter :teeth: )

Btw guys, went back to fitters today, because I noticed the right can has hanging lower than the left.

Put her up on the lift and noticed the can was catching on a black bracket.

We came to the conclusion that this is possibly the bracket that is there to hold the reversing sensor box, and since it was holding nothing, I told them to remove it.

I remember that in another thread about fitting a Scorpion exhaust, in which also was mentioned that a "black thing" was either modded or removed.

Both cans are sitting ok now.

*edit*

updated first post with pic of corrected right can bungs out

Are you using the spring washers that came with it? Shouldn't come loose with those on, and certainly mine have never moved at all between changes.

Got a feeling some tosser at work with a bog standard Boxter loosened them  Or it could just be me being complacent when changing the baffles. . .

Wow Mark, that sounds great, you must be really pleased. Looks good too. B)

It does sound great, but I fear that my neighbours might disagree with me.

Yesterday and this morning I went to work at 6am...baffles out.

When you first start the car in the morning it sounds as if Cerberus* has been let loose and is barking out the back of my car.

*Cerberus = mythical creature, hellhound with three heads that guards the gates of hell

  • 2 weeks later...

Gave mine a bit of a polish yesterday, took the bungs out for a good clean, thought, "I'll maybe keep them out for a bit". The noise this exhaust makes at full throttle is ear damaging! Love the popping aswell, almost sounds like a backfire but not as violent, but it is LOUD!
