The plastic spatula that comes with a George Foreman Grill is your friend here. Number plate adhesive is infinitely more sticky than badge adhesive, and I've always found said spatula, some hot water with car shampoo in and a detailing clay to be the best combination.

Mine just pulled off by hand, no problem, as they were not originals. If yours aren't the ones that came with the new car then you will probably have aftermarket pads sticking them on - just pull hard!

Little bit of heat and gently peel away.

 

If you're left with any residue on the bumber, then use some autoglym SRP or similar - takes it off nicely
