from what i can tell, your options are turbo, or new ecu/piggyback.

neither from what i've heard are cheap.

i've seen a rotrex supercharger kit with everything you need excluding fitting for about £5200.

i think the PE turbo system excluding fitting is about £5000

a new ECU something like haltech i'm not sure

What you will quickly learn from here is that the 350z engine is designed to produce the power it does. In N/A form there is very little to be had, even with a piggy back ECU controlling everything. Getting some forced induction will get you to about 400BHP for about £5-6K. More than that and you'll need very very deep pockets indeed. Also to get 320WHP you need equally deep pockets.

there are certainly gains to be had, albeit of course with a price tag

forced induction is the more cost effective means, but it also introduces a level of complexity

going the naturally aspirated route is more about incremental gains than a mammoth % increase but again, if resources are focused in the right areas, there are generous power increases to be had
