Dipper
Staying on the rear suspension I managed to pick up some "air lift performance dampers" from Ebay. Apparently they are made in the same factory as Bc racing. And they are 30 point damper adjustable which was what I was after. Dampers fitted to the rear. And off for an alignment. The eccentric bolts on the spring buckets/arm were seized however. (Literally the only bolts I didn't replace, typical) so the camber is a little out untill I can get that replaced. Dipper
I also took the time get the height right on the rear adjusting the new coilover set up. Front probably needs to come down a little more. But it also meant I was able to get up the ramp to get it aligned a bit more easily. So maybe a blessing. Also the big news. Got the modified and refreshed wheels back. So happy with them. Ultamotive did a great job with them.

So after waiting a while for some more parts to be delivered. I don't some BC damper extenders. They aren't a exact match to the Air Lift Performance dampers, so took some modifications. To file down the diameter to fit the caps on the BC adjusters. For reference for the 350z go foe the smallest size adjusters, like 100mm or something. I had to trim mine down considerably. Which was a faff. Anyway fully adjustable and fitted now. Glad to be able to make the ride softer for long journeys.
Dipper
Mad to take a step back and look at the stack of rusty parts taken off the car this previous winter. Almost don't want to throw them away. Tempted to maybe get them blast and powder coated to have as spares.
davey_83
Brilliant work, she must drive so much better now with fresh shocks and springs all round, arb with poly bushes and rear arms. What's next? Edited April 22 by davey_83

What's next? Good question! Not really sure. To be honest. I need to sort a few small things like getting the number plates mounted properly. Getting the coilovers sitting at the right height and adjusted. I also have to replace some seized camber bolts on the rear spring buckets. To make the alignment spot on. I'd love to get the front bumper filled and smoothed. And the front left arch is showing some rust. So that's probably in the long list. I'd also love to get some reclining bucket seats Installed. The drivers seat is a bit worn and I'm not a massive fan of the seats it came with. Mine is non gt spec. So I don't have power or heated seats. So I've less to loose fitting aftermarket. I'm sure il think of more things also. The list is never done. Edited April 23 by Dipper
Dipper
Jdm clear tail lights So I had been mulling these over for a looong time. Part of me was torn, as the lexus style clear lights aren't really my thing. But red lights on a red car? The lights just don't stand out at all and almost blend into one another in my opinion. The jdm ones, They are pricy and I'd never really intended to get them untill maybe a few years down the road. But seeing that Nissan has now discontinued them, scared me into action and buying them. I got a set off Ebay from Japan. 2nd hand in good nick. Had to pay customs charge too.(annoying) but here's them fitted on one side and the orgionals In red for comparison. I wasn't sure about them. But I think they do work on a red car. Let me know what yous all think. Are they Tacky or do they work? Forgot to mention i had to seal the wiring a little from the old units to new. I think you can file the plugs to fit. But I had them off the red lights so I just switched them to save me chopping. PlanGT
I have to admit I'm normally not a fan of these clear tail lights but I totally agree with you. They break up the red nicely and add definition. Definitely run them in my opinion. I always struggle to decide whether a change looks right when you're used to how it was. Fit the other clear, run them for a couple of weeks then look back at a picture of the red (realising you made the right choice ).
