lotuscc Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Hyundai are trying to muscle in. Concept looks good. Would you buy one? http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArtic ... rs/231680/ Quote
tmJak Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 would prefer to wait and see what the next generation z brings or the new infiniti, but looks ok. reminds me of an alpha. . . don't think it looks as good as the zed though (although admittedly you can't see it properly) Quote
GC350z Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 This is the concept unveiled last year: http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/14/la-2 ... -30-pm-es/ Quote
Digsy Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 ...Would you buy one? no I might if the reviews were good. I can't exactly get hung up on the badge - I do drive a Datsun after all. Quote
Ebized Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 ...Would you buy one? no +1 - (no pedigree to speak of) Quote
Trev-the-Rev Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 ...Would you buy one? no +1 - (no pedigree to speak of) Agreed. But there's no prizes for guessing who they are targeting with a 350 bhp, V6, RWD. Quote
polarbear Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 If you've even driven one of their current coupes you'd steer well clear of this. Sheep in wolfs clothing comes to mind. Quote
Indyzed Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 ...Would you buy one? no +1 - (no pedigree to speak of) Good point! The misses and I have been looking at the Santa Fe here in the states but are going to buy a Honda CR-V. My wife can't get over it being a Hyundai. Now that being said, I like Hyundai and hope they continue to put pressure on the Japs to keep their quality and standard features on the up-and-up. Their American sales are only 8% of their total sales right now so they are going to be a future force to reckon with. Quote

Zed cars have considerably more heritage than a Matiz has ever been able to create on the sports car front. Not to mention a 2.7l V6 car knocking out 163bhp. No idea how they do it....... Quote

I wouldn't give a monkey's about heritage (how quickly we forget the not so good Z-cars - 280ZX anyone?) if the car gets sh1t hot reviews. That's all I'm saying. Quote

GC350z Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 That’s got to be a typo. 2.0 turbo produces 211bhp yet the “flagship†Quote
GC350z Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Interesting comment on topgear.com Insiders say that European crash legislation may make it impossible to sell the Genesis Coupe over here Quote
martinmac Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Think the rest of the world is welcome to this one first. Looks very watered down to broaden its general appeal. Quote
