Recommended headlight protection from UV misting and scratches?

Recommended Posts

So I'm almost ready to start fitting my new depo facelift headlights, but I also want to protect the external surface of them from UV misting and scratches, was thinking stick on solutions, anyone have any recommendations? Cheers!

I was thinking about that, but it's totally permanent and has the potential to go wrong/not look perfect (or am I being paranoid), hence my initial interest in stick on solutions.

Well mine turned out great, only cost me £50 to have them and I can honestly say they came out better then factory.

Id say theres a small amount of paranoia there although its justified. Maybe im paranoid but I wouldnt like stickting things to my nice new headlights lol

Well, the car is going for paint next week-ish, so it would be easy to get them done. I'll definitely think about it. Thanks Olly :)

In the meantime, anyone had any success with stick on products?

I can't enlighten you, I don't know if there's any difference either, but not knowing brings fear, and fear is the path to the dark side... I'm just paranoid. I appreciate the suggestion, honestly. :)

Speak to Ricey at Revolve. It's one of the services he offers here in UK so I'm sure he could recommend a suitable product

Will do! Thanks. :)

For top notch sealants I tend to try something from gtechniq or gyeon, they do excellent sealants.

Look out for any well reviewed marine products, as obviously they take a hell of a beating being exposed all day.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'd go clear wrap

I wasn't aware there was a clear wrap, does it protect from UV? How 'clear' is it? 3M I guess? The reason I like this idea so much from the start is cos I have experience wrapping and read so many horror stories about products.

Just updated my post with the correct Trader name! Paul will likely shout at me for getting it wrong.

Anyway. He's a trader on here.
