xscotteex Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 (edited) Hey guys, Just picked my 07 HR up this weekend and already got the bug... On the day I picked her up I changed out the tired and old shift knob in place of a mishimoto weighted knob, and got the rears tinted in 0.5 and sunstrip laid in. I also got her sitting on some new shoes, MPSS ofcourse. I also switched out the antenna for something a little more stubby... Today I set about giving her the first clean and wax of the year. Pretty happy with the quality of the paintwork as it is (apart from imperfections you'd expect) She definitely needs a clean under the hood, so that will be my next bit of detailing to do For future I'll have these immediate thoughts - A quality service and healthcheck (Im fairly sure she needs a new oil pressure sensor for you eagle eyed peeps) - Wrapping the roof, mirrors and door handles - Tidy up the interior - Splitter and side steps - Exhaust system - Long twintake (stillen probably) Edited February 5, 2017 by xscotteex 3 Quote

Kieran O'Quick Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Looks like you've found a nice one there. Very smart looking. Busy weekend getting it sorted too - no hanging around. Did you get to burn-off the old tyres? Will be interesting to see how you find it compared to the Sirocco. Quote

xscotteex Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 Little mini update before tomorrow (where I plan on lowering the zed, spacing the rays and dressing them up with some pretty lug nuts) in the shape of my boot divider from @14N Quote
xscotteex Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 In need of some help guys. Began tackling the changing over of the springs today and had zero issues with the backs. However coming to the front and finding it impossible to get either of the control arms off. The upper has one bolt seized on, the lower ball joint nut just spins. It shouldnt be hard at all right? Strudul Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 No first hand experience, but my usual solution is drench everything in WD40, make a cup of tea and come back in 30 mins Quote
xscotteex Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 So turns out the front suspension assembly is pretty much all original parts, so not in the best condition. None-theless heres some updates. I fitted the tein springs, eibach spacers, neo chrome studs and de wiper this weekend Next plan is to get her a decent service 1 Quote
xscotteex Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) NO update really, other than I popped out today to take some photos with my DSLR and get used to it Here are the full size links for those interested http://i.imgur.com/cIqvkCx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hrDtWF7.jpg Edited March 4, 2017 by xscotteex 1 Quote
MDMetal Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Love the cream seats, do you know the story behind them? They're custom right? Quote
xscotteex Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 No buddy, Frost Leather was an option from factory. I think it was only the later models, but they are pretty rare Quote
GodISmE Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Looks like your oil pressure sensor is kaputt, no? Max psi?! Quote
xscotteex Posted March 25, 2017 Author Posted March 25, 2017 Read up buddy, was a dodgy switch It's all good now Quote
