Justthejedi Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 Anybody got any top tips for cleaning the inside of the exhaust tips to remove the black carbon build up? Quote
d95gas Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 I always use Meguiars Metal Polish.... not too abrasive and does a good job, then finish off with Gtechniq M1 (think), which gives it a nice shine and adds some protection. Quote
Science_GT Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Inside? Don't think I've ever seen it chrome on the interior due to constant carbon battering! Quote
GMballistic Posted August 13, 2016 Posted August 13, 2016 Anybody got any top tips for cleaning the inside of the exhaust tips to remove the black carbon build up? I get doing the outside of exhaust tips & the lips but I wouldn't waste your time doing the inside imo. As Science_GT above mentioned it will get constantly battered with build up so a waste of time really. I'd recommend Autosol the same as Colin did. Quote
Midmonster Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Showing my age now but i use brasso then wax and a tin of brasso will last forever lol Quote
sipar69 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Yep I reckon auto specific metal polish is snake oil. My better half's jewellery cleaner works as well as anything! Quote
Ricey Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Autosol then Meguiars NXT. Megs isn't strong enough for heavy build up but refines well. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk Quote
mctwistuk Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I use wheel cleaner and a detailing brush. Then use some autobrite direct metalworx Quote
