davedutch Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 All good in the end and hopefully still enough good days to enjoy it. For what it's worth my gauge reads the same when idling after its warmed up but unlike many, my pressure is well below 60 @ 60 in sixth, more like 60 @ 60 in fifth or probably (because I never go that fast) @ about 85 in sixth, been like it a while now and no problems, done 103,000 and uses about 1lt of oil per 1500 miles. glrnet Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Yeah and said everything looked ok, seems to be more the HR engines with those issues, was reading back over a few threads and seems quite a few are saying the 15/20 Psi mark is ok, One guy said Nissan say above 14 PSI is ok but I'm not sure how you relate that to be a issue, if it could run at 15 and be fine for years that's fine but if it gradually gets lower its not looking good (again) From the service manual James Quote

shire350Z Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 So can a zed run at those levels from near new for the life of the car or are they a fair amount higher when new then slowly decrease so getting close to those PSI levels isn't good for the engine, does anyone know? (If that makes sense) Quote
