  1. Be different and keep it stock.
  2. Nixy, if the boots or shoes got messed up you could have put them on ebay, like that one you found before. Would have fetched good money as it would be genuine English muck.
  3. Did give me the impression it was something like this (though had absolutely no clue what). Just taken it to the garage to have a Summit brace fitted & new pads and it started normally.
  4. Just been out in the car & it started 1st time as normal.
  5. Yeah did that. Even after the time looking in the engine bay it still didn't want to start.
  6. I wonder how many of those front wings will still be on the car after the first bend of the first race? They have stopped testing days, apparently to save money, but this will only mean that the wealthier teams will spend the money on in house testing systems.
  7. Just went to pop out & had a unusual occurence on my Zed. On starting the car it just went to fire & then just missed catching. No problem I thought, turned the key & it was not firing, which had me worried. Popped the bonnet just to see if there was anything stupid I could see but as I guessed nothing obvious. In the end I just kept the key turned & it eventually just about caught (didn't think it was going to) & had to let it pick up itself as I felt touching the accelerator would have killed it. Let it warm up before moving off & just went to the shop. Came out and it started like normal. Never done anything like this before and now I'm worried its the start of something, but hope it was just a strange one off.
  8. If you buy a BT bluetooth adaptor it fits into the cradle, pair with your phone & hey presto you have control from the steering wheel. Believe it comes with the later models but not 05. Be cheeky & ask if they will give you one. If not then search ebay or you can get from Holdcrofts.
  9. In over 4 years of ownership I've still to see a red Zed in the flesh & you get to see a red roadster, go figure.
  10. Seen them before on Metacafe, they really were very lucky. Like they say "when its your day"
  11. Yes dial with fuel gauge, mph etc. (digital) Flashing light is on the conventional odometer (far left hand side one with fuel gauge & water temp) Cannot remember when it comes on, as I don't let it get to low to often, but sure its before 20 miles
  12. Yes there is & it starts flashing. You can check on the left hand dial & it will show you DTE (distance to empty)
  13. Have you taken it to an independent garage & asked them for an opinion? Might be worth a try in the long run.
  14. Hi & to the forum. You must have the biggest grin on your face, congrats.
  15. Having mine done on Monday (don't see the point of getting my hands dirty these days). Yeah you should be fine doing your own, especially as you have done pads before. Takes about a hour according to those that have done their own. Common advice is to make sure you copper grease the back edge if you have Brembos. Go for it & good luck (its always feels better if you've done it yourself)
  16. Andrew, can only sympathise with the situation you & your family find yourselves in. I'm sure members of the forum will understand everything you are trying to do & that its not of your making. Its understandable that you have not been feeling yourself of late but you will come out of this stronger than you will ever realise. Hang in there for your Dad, everybody here is willing him to better health.
  17. Good to hear you've got this sorted & that a Stealer has come through for a change.
  18. Thats the nightmare situation everybodys in. How do they expect new car sales to grow if residuals are so low? Nobodys going to risk anything with those losses.
  19. Thats really hilarious. You'd hope the mother wasn't a munter though.
