  2. So 310 at the hubs equates to around 350-355 at the fly circa 20BHP increase over OE 330 The 370 OE exhaust is very restrictive I am told.
  3. £400 for an UpRev or £8 for a chip hmm let me think about that one ..... Yes will defo do the same thing
  4. Thank you, Might have to give some black hole glaze a go and see if it will cover up my swirls.
  5. It's cool - now sorted M20 x 1.5mm. Cheers Steve
  6. Sorry for what's probably a dumb question but what is a glaze and when do you apply it? Is it: polish, glaze, wax. Polish, wax, glaze Or A N other? Thank you Steve
  7. I'm looking at getting a remote oil filter kit because I'm getting fed up of having to fish around under the car when it comes to oil changes. This annoyance is compounded by the fact I have an oil cooler with take off plate and the braided hoses make getting the filter off a pain due to no clearance. So my plan is to run a remote filter and fit my oil cooler take off to that at the top of the engine so there will be easy access to the filter at oil change time. Just not sure what centre bolt size to buy. I was looking at sonething like eBay item 120871348275. Just had a good find, I thought my discs were on the way out because they had developed a vibration . Turned out to be a pad deposit, rebeded in and back to normal now.
  8. I cleaned mine two- three years ago when I wrote the guide and its still going strong
  9. I organised a group buy with RS last year and can fully recommend RS's service. When I eventually get my supercharger I'll be going back.....bit down the line yet though lol!!
  10. Hi mate thanks for the advice. I did the little cable enable as you suggested and the boiler was working so must be a dodgy stat. One of my mates just qualified as a sparky and is coming over Friday to confirm I'm not being a Jaffa lol. Thanks again
  11. Evening folks! I have recently moved into a new house which has a Ideal logic+30 combi boiler and Salus RT500RF timer/stat. The problem I have is that no matter what I set the thermostat to the boiler, when central heating is turned on, it simply does not go off. The boiler runs constantly no matter how high or low I set the thermostat. I've even tried turning the stat off completely but it still runs constantly. The only way to turn it off is by twisting the knob on the boiler back to hot water only. This means when I have the central heating on I'm running up and down the stairs every half hour to try and maintain an ok temperature, not really ideal. Anyway as I've said I tried everything and done some checks. The thermostat panel is 'talking' to the receiver upstairs. I know this because if I turn the thermostat to a higher setting than the room is at the small heat call light comes on on the receiver and on the thermostat panel. If I turn the temp below the current room temp the green heat call light on the receiver goes off. I've also changed the batteries just in case, read that this can sort some problems. Sadly though the thermostat will not control the boiler at all. I think the receiver isn't talking to the boiler because they aren't connected together by any wires. I opened up the receiver today and it is connected to the mains but the three other terminals - NO, COM and NC are not wired to anything. Inside the boiler there is a link wire between the 'thermostat' connection and 'timer' connection from reading the install manual I've found it suggests that this gives a permanent heat call to the boiler which would explain why the thermostat doesn't control the boiler. I removed the link wire to see what would happen and basically if the boiler setting was put to water and CH the CH would not come on at all, this is what I expected because without the link wire nothing is telling the boiler to come on , I.e. no heat call. Looking in the manual I believe the receiver should be connected to the boiler. Looking at the manual I think I need to connect 'COM' on the receiver to the 'STAT' connection in the boiler and 'NO' on the receiver to the 'TIMER' connection in the boiler. Does anyone know if this is correct? Could I do any damage just by giving What I think is right a go? Alternatively should I just call a plumber? Could I be missing something? Thank you Steve
  12. I run 600RBF never had any boiling issues. I do 3-4 trackdays a year and the rest of the time it's my daily drive.
  13. Maybe mate, I think it's the only explanation there can be UK roads are terrible! When the wheel bearing goes next time I'll be putting a new hub on as the shim is a pita to get to sit right!
  14. I've had a similar problem In the past with my rear left the hub itself was warped by 0.07mm which translates at the outer edge of the disk to 0.2mm runout which =vibrations!! Car has never hit anything but the rear left hub is warped. I could only fix it by putting in a 4 thou shim and rotating the disk until total runout dropped below 0.05mm. Not vibes since. So yes a hub can warp without an impact or I believe it can.
  15. Hi mate sorry for delay not been on for a while, I think shipping would be approximately £20 as some couriers won't take tyres and they are quite large. Would be willing to travel a bit for £20 so could deliver within about 50-60 miles for that. Cheers
  16. Hi mate, no these came out of my previous car and have been sat in a wardrobe taking up space since I got the zed. Lol
  17. Yes there is enough thread in the OEM wheel studs but as said stick a washer on to prevent damaging the discs.
  18. That's what I did then cut a round hole in the deflector and routed the pipe through that and behind the crash bar.
  19. Ps was glad to see England win obviously but if the Scottish hadn't made so many mistakes in the final third I think Scotland would have won.
  20. What's quite funny is that English is a mixture of pretty much every single ancient dialect there ever was so what is proper English? Roman English Saxon English Viking English Norman English In fact they are all one and the same, just with extra words added by every conquering civilisation who captured England. Basically however it's pronounced it's still proper English.
  21. Well I'm surprised it's charged on the delivery too I stand corrected.
  22. Think I over priced this originally so now reduced to £100 + delivery
  23. Now also listed on eBay item number 320842738259
